Dave’s Garage #11 is a very large garage with 3 sections.
The rear section is an assemblage of American Manufactured automobiles from the 1920s, 30s and 40s. Brands include Packard, REO, La Salle, Lincoln, Stutz, Oakland, Chrysler, Studebaker, Cord and Cadillac. All prime examples in outstanding condition.
There are also American manufactured motorcycles from the 1920s to the 1950s made by Harley Davidson, Excelsior, Crocker, Henderson and Indian. The space they occupy is filled with paintings, photos, mechanical cutaways and catalogs all relevant to the period. The ceiling contains numerous large scale airplanes suspended in dog fights and assembled flight. The entire back wall of this room was lovingly hand painted in the likeness of the New York City sky line. The Empire State Building even has King Kong perched on it. All something to see/experience.
The center section of this large garage was created to be a working 1920s garage, complete with a section for woodwork, leatherwork, metalwork and mechanical. The large glass showcase with merchandise, cash register, battery rack and S&H green stamp machine takes you back to a more basic time. Housed in here are a couple of 32 coupes and an array of cars, trucks and motorcycles.
The front section of this large garage has some very significant race heritage vehicles with significant provenance. Ford, Porsche, Abarth, Alfa Romeo and Ferrari race cars from the late 1940s to the late 1960s are on display. There are also exceptional motorcycles with race histories from Ceccato, Gilaro, and M V Agusta dated from the late 1940s to the early 1960s. Again, all housed in surroundings of artwork and memorabilia tastefully adorning the walls.
